Stephen began his career with the Alberta Ballet, then spent four seasons as a soloist with Ballet North. With a career that has spanned over forty years, he has worked in theatre both onstage and as a part of the creative team, in film and television, corporate shows, and as a dance educator and choreographer.

Selected theatre credits include  Jimmy in Stealing Sam, Konrad in Dead & Breakfast, Charlie Butler in Lunenburg, Jeff Moss in Bells are Ringing, Joseph with Donny Osmond, three seasons with the Charlottetown Festival, Billy Elliot at RMTC, The Sound of Music for Mirvish Productions and numerous others.

Upon relocating to the South Shore of Nova Scotia, Stephen spearheaded the founding of the Lunenburg Theatre Collective.
